ProofCam Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains how the ProofCam app ("ProofCam", "the app"), published by Sky Goal Solutions ("we"), handles your information.
Summary
- No account or sign-up.
- Your photos stay on your phone. We do not upload them.
- Your location is used to stamp photos. To show an address, a map and the weather, coordinates are sent to a geocoding service, a map tile provider and a weather service.
- The free app shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device data.
- Subscriptions are handled by Google Play, with RevenueCat managing subscription status.
- We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. These never include your photos.
Information the app uses
Camera. Used to take photos. Photos are saved on your device (in the app and in Pictures › ProofCam). We don't receive or store them.
Location. Used to show coordinates, address, map and time on your photos and to write GPS data into the photo's EXIF metadata. To turn coordinates into an address, the app uses your phone's built-in geocoding service (provided by Google on most Android phones). To draw the small map, the app requests map tiles for your area from MapTiler (or OpenStreetMap). These requests reveal your approximate area to those providers. We don't store your location on any server.
Weather. If you turn on weather details on the stamp, the app sends your approximate coordinates (rounded to about 1 km) to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) to get the current weather. Weather data: MET Norway, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Photo storage. The app saves photos to your phone's gallery. On Android 10 and below it asks for storage permission to do this. When you import photos from your gallery, the app reads their saved date and location (EXIF) to stamp them.
Settings. Your stamp settings, projects and the list of photos taken in the app are stored only on your device.
Company logo. If you add a logo, it's copied into the app's private storage on your phone and never uploaded.
Advertising
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob (banner, native, full-screen and optional rewarded ads). AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, and information about ad interactions and app performance, to show ads and measure them. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads). ProofCam Pro removes all ads.

Purchases
ProofCam Pro is sold as a subscription through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your card or UPI details. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and subscription status from Google Play.

Analytics and crash reports
We use Google Firebase Analytics to count how features are used (for example "photo taken" or "report shared"), and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. This includes an app instance ID, device model, Android version, app version, and crash details. It never includes your photos, the address or coordinates on your photos, or anything you type into the stamp.

Sharing
We don't sell your data. Data leaves your device only as described above (geocoding, map tiles, weather, AdMob, Google Play and RevenueCat, Firebase), or when you choose to share a photo or report with another app.
Retention and deletion
Everything ProofCam stores is on your device. Delete photos in the app, or uninstall the app to remove its data. Copies saved to your gallery remain until you delete them there. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months; to ask us to delete data linked to your app instance, email us.
Children
ProofCam is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
Network requests made by the app use HTTPS.
Changes
We'll update this page when the app's data practices change and revise the date above.
